German State Authority put Defender A-Kip through its paces

Location: DEKRA Lausitzring
The Lausitzring is a race track located near Klettwitz in the state of Brandenburg in northeast Germany, near the borders of Poland and the Czech Republic. No other race track in Germany offers as many possibilities as the DEKRA Lausitzring. Spanning approximately 550 hectares, it features a licensed race track, a high-speed oval, an off-road area, and a wide range of on-road modules for testing and setup runs.

Participants: German State Authority
Several members of an “unnamed” state authority specialized in the field of armoured civilian vehicles and special protection.

Objective: Testing and evaluation
The Lausitzring offers the ideal facility for conducting a comprehensive range of tests on both on-road and off-road vehicle performance and handling. It was, therefore, the logical venue to thoroughly evaluate the capabilities of the Defender A-Kip® under a variety of conditions and scenarios. Two vehicles took part in the testing: the VPAM Level 6 Defender 110 equipped with a 240 HP diesel drivetrain, and the powerful 5.0 V8 variant delivering 525 HP

Result:
After a full day of rigorous on- and off-road testing, the feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with special recognition given to the Defender A-Kip® vehicle’s dynamic characteristics, which remained largely unchanged despite the enhanced A-Kip® protection.

Conclusion:
Yet another testament to the Defender A-Kip® concept, showcasing the perfect blend of enhanced protection without compromising the vehicle’s original performance or handling
